Member Benefits
- Professional Development WSSA provides
members with opportunities to aid them in their jobs, as well
as enrich them personally.
- Networking Opportunities WSSA members
have an opportunity to meet other agency representatives, share
best practices and discuss concerns and issues while looking for
possible solutions.
- Educational Growth Scholarships
available for continuing education for eligible WSSA members.
- Leadership An opportunity for WSSA
members to develop leadership skills by becoming involved in
WSSA, on committees and as officers on a district and state
level.
- Program development and/or changes
Members have an opportunity to have input into program
development and/or changes by becoming involved on committees.
- Knowledge Increase knowledge of social
problems and programs on a State-wide basis.
- Broader Understanding become aware of the entire
scope of social/human services as it relates to the Legislative,
Departments of Workforce Development and Families and Children,
county and tribal social/human services by becoming involved on
committees.
- Recognition Awards are given to WSSA
members for outstanding and unique contributions in the
social/human services/income maintenance field.
- Grants For WSSA members, grants
available for conferences (State and National considered) that
are related to social/human services and would be a benefit to the
individual, agency and WSSA.
- Training Opportunities members receive
advance notice of the WSSA mid-year and annual
conference and training institute, which
provide C.E.U.s , and Ethics and Boundaries workshops.
- Receive the WSSA UPDATE newsletter.
- AAA discounts WSSA members are eligible
for exclusive discounts on AAA memberships and group-discounted
auto, homeowners and renters insurance.
